When something similar happened on my 2002 TJ, it was a collapsed brake line that allowed fluid into the caliper, but restricted it going out so the brakes would stick, but after several hours would free up. Web8 ago 2010 · Put your drums back on. If you adjust the shoes out, then slide the drums on, you will still be way out of adjustment. Now remove the rubber plug from the back of your drum and adjust the brakes out with a screw driver so there is a VERY slight drag to where you can barely hear the shoes touch. Web2 gen 2007 · Well, the only things I can think of are: 1/ check the rear brake adjustment, and 2/ check fluid and bleed the brakes. The other thing it could be is the proportioning valve, not sure what the set up is on a TJ though.
