WebAug 28, 2024 · Edit update: So, I just did a another A-B comparison between my Am Std with Fat 50's and my Partscaster with Fat 60's and at least for these two guitars (into the same amp and settings) they sound quite similar: Tone/EQ wise almost identical. The stock pickups had staggered pole pieces and I had an issue with some strings sounding louder than others. The 60's pickups have pole pieces that are all the same height and so the string to string balance is even.
