Sonny played the Grand Ole Opry in 60s and early 70s. He and Hal Rugg and Weldon Myrick recorded an Album together titled "The Steel Guitars of The Grand Ole Opry!"

On nearly every instrument tuning is a compromise and when you start stacking up different intervals it can make that more apparent.
