WebDec 3, 2024 · The 20 is definitely EASIER to use, and gets a great sound right off the bat. The 500 has a steeper learning curve, but has more available effects, loads more presets, and Roland/Boss has already updated the firmware version. I wouldn't mind having another DD-20 though.
